-MY STORY-

Hi again, I’m glad you’ve hung around to find out a little more about me, because I’m really looking forward to getting to know all about you! For now though, here’s a glimpse
into who I am:

Having lived in many places around the world, I finally returned to my home town 10 years ago. I now live in one of Melbourne’s leafy inner suburbs with my fiancée Andy (who’s a photographer), my son Cassidy, (who has taught me more about life than any Masterclass), and our rescue cat Valentine (who is now Cassidy’s reluctant best friend).

If I could slice myself down the middle and keep one half of me in the big smoke and send the other half out bush to chop wood and grow my own fruit & veg, I would. Which kind of sums me up. I’m as comfy in the ritziest venue in the shiniest heels with the fanciest celeb guest list as I am in my 1997 Blundstones (yep they still fit me, perfectly good, nothing wrong with them), building a fire and cooking a hearty stew at our off-grid bush shack.

-I like dark chocolate, any which way it comes!
-I don’t like uncomfy clothes or shoes, life’s too short for that!
-I didn’t like cats much till I owned one. I think it’s just because I expected them to be like dogs. Which they’re not!
-I play the ukulele, and would like to be able to play the piano better than I do.
-I used to be a Captain Starlight with the Starlight Children’s Foundation and found it to be the most humbling and rewarding job I’ve ever had.
-I love my instapot, coz it makes me look more like Nigella than a rejected contestant from Masterchef, and I get along with everyone, but I prefer genuine, authentic good people who enjoy a laugh, an adventure and a good ol fashioned knees up.

Before becoming a celebrant, I worked as a film producer, actor, and writer, so I draw on this wealth of experience to help me craft a script that shares the best (and maybe even the funniest) parts of your lives together with your family and friends.

I’ve also learned a few things over the years to ensure that on the day, everything runs smoothly, your guests-of-honor have the best seats in the house so they can see your smiling faces, and we can practice everything beforehand, so your nerves won’t have you shaking like a chihuahua and you can settle-in and enjoy the ride.

Speaking of dogs, if you have a four-legged friend you’d like to include in your ceremony, please let me know. I love finding ways to have all of your special family members involved on the day! The only rule we need to follow is to include the legal ‘must do’s,’ which I will take care of, while the two of you get giddy saying your ‘I do’s’.

“By the time we finished our first meeting with Kimberley, we knew we wanted her to be our celebrant. Her warmth and humour kept us relaxed throughout the whole process, and by the time we got to our wedding day, it felt like we were being married by a friend. The ceremony she wrote captured us perfectly. Thank you Kimberley, for making our wedding better than we’d imagined”
